Guidelines for Into the Woods
Scripts
v Scripts will be needed by all characters with a name.
v Scripts are rented from the licensing company and need to be sent back to the company after the show. You may write in the scripts in pencil, but ALL marks must be erased upon the return of the script.
v Each script has a bar code on the back so we can keep track of whose script is whose.
v To receive a script, you need to bring in a collateral check for $25. This check will not be cashed unless your script is not returned, or returned in poor condition. This check will be returned to you if the script is returned in good condition. The scripts will be inspected on return. Please make the check out to Kinnelon High School Activities Fund.
Rehearsals
v Rehearsals are closed to anyone not directly involved in this production. If you would like to have a visitor (i.e. someone who may not be able to make the show), you must get prior permission from Lauren Mills.
v You are NOT allowed to leave rehearsal once you are in the building. If you decide to leave, you may not return and that will count as an unexcused absence.
v You are allowed 3 excused absences and 2 unexcused absences. An excused absence is one communicated to Lauren Mills prior to the absence. An unexcused absence is either not showing up, or telling a friend to tell the Director. NO ABSENCES ARE PERMITTED DURING TECH WEEK. Exceeding the number of absences will result in your termination. Of course, emergencies are compassionately considered. Communication is the key.
v If you miss a rehearsal without notifying the directors, you may be removed from a scene or song. We cannot take time to go back and reteach things, so plan accordingly. Communicate!
v When you are at rehearsal, you must stay in the auditorium at all times, unless otherwise instructed. We will not go looking for people when it is time for them to be on stage. When waiting for your turn to be on stage, be quiet and respectful of the people concentrating and working onstage. You will be responsible for learning your material in a timely manner and following the "off book" dates.

Additional Expectations
Being a part of a production is not only about being on the stage. It takes a lot of time and effort to put on a good production, therefore, everyone will donate at least one day to help out with certain aspects of the show, i.e. painting, scene construction, advertising, etc. Remember, this is your show, you want it to be the best.
Agreement to Participate
Please read the following, sign and date it, and return it to the Director or Mrs. Dolci by January 11, 2008:
It is a privilege to be a part of this production, not a right. You must, at all times, show respect to the directors, parent volunteers and each other. We are all here for the same purpose, to put on an excellent show! Like any other team, we need to work together and let each other know that we will be supportive, no matter what. We expect and trust you to follow the established guidelines. You are important to this production, whether your part is a lead, or a support role. Remember, there are no small parts, only small actors! Congratulations! It is fun to be in our shows! Your hard work will pay off on March 7, 8 and 9.
