Competing in the North Jersey Region I Concert Band Festival,
the KHS Wind Ensemble achieved some of its greatest accomplishments to date.
The Wind Ensemble turned in a stunning performance at the festival.
Our Woodwind Section received the award for Best Woodwinds in the Competition,
a truly noteworthy award that is only given out to groups that are achieving musically at the highest level. Our ensemble scored an 87.5 and was awarded a silver award, only half a point away from the highest ranking that can be achieved. Their performance of literature that is intended for college ensembles was outstanding. The ensemble also came in 3rd overall in the contest.
You can hear this outstanding group of young musicians this Wednesday, 3/25, in our Mid-Winter Honors Concert at 7:30 at KHS!

received FIRST PLACE in their group and FIRST PLACE Wind Ensemble in Cleveland, Ohio's Band Competition last week. They competed with bands from Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Great Job!

received a rating of "Excellent" with a score of 85.75 and the Esprit de Corps award for excellence in character and spirit. This score continues an up-hill trend over the past 2 years adding 2.75 to last year's score!
